mini dans la ville.

A huge apology for my absence for the past month! I’ve just started working at Holly Brown lately (both at the store and two projects on hands) so I haven’t had much time to blog/food hunt. Someone prepared a very special surprise for me after work one day and it was dinner at the Original Mini Cooper themed restaurant!

Totally in love with this car. I almost screamed at the first sight of it!

The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived at around 8:30pm. It has a great ambiance though and I love how the decor is designed.

We ordered two dinner sets and they came with some bread and pumpkin soup. The bread was made with rosemary and had a good balance of moist and softness. It complemented the soup very well.

For the main course, we had black truffle risotto and roasted lamb chops. The food was satisfactory and I would say they were a bit overpriced. The sets also came with drinks. It cost a bit extra to have freshly pressed juice and we ordered two, which I quite fancy and they were actually the only thing that I truly liked from the dinner sets. The presentation of the meal looked awesome but for taste-wise they were pretty average. If I were to come back here again, I would come during tea time instead of dinner, since the drink menu is fairly priced and the quality is better than the food. However, I still think Mini dans la ville is worth going if you’re a fan of vintage cars or original mini coopers. The ambiance and visual experience definitely make up for it!

We met this cutie when we passed by a liquor store on the way home. It was a great night and thanks for the surprise !
